Remembrance and Gratitude

We’re overwhelmed with the amazing responses to DUTY through this show run. It’s been truly wonderful. And so poignant, across Remembrance Weekend.

We received an amazing review from Fringe Review’s Simon Jenner which was so gratifying and humbling, and the Mayor of Brighton and Hove: Councillor Amanda Grimshaw BEM come to see the show on the Saturday evening and had such amazing things to say, as she has also undertaken research about the Battle of Boars Head. She was accompanied by Sharon Penfold from the Royal Sussex Living History Group who also gave us such wonderful feedback which was amazing to hear.

My intention all along has been to honour the memories and the sacrifices of the boys and men who were there at Boars Head, and all the people affected by The Day Sussex Died. I hope this has come across well. It means so much to me.

As does all the feedback from everyone who came.

Here is a picture of us with the Mayor and Sharon Penfold.
